Self-Esteem and Weight loss Specialist

Healthy Fit bodies come in all different shapes and sizes and true beauty radiates from within.

  • Is riding the weight loss roller coaster costing you BIG bucks?
  • Are food and emotional eating disrupting your life and destroying your self esteem?

The sad fact is between 90% and 99% of reducing diets fail to produce permanent weight loss and two-thirds of dieters regain the weight within one year. And still we keep going back for more!

The weight loss industry is an industry designed to welcome you and your wallet back time and time again. It is fed by media hype that promotes unrealistic images and body shapes that represent a distorted 'norm'. One that is impossible for the majority of women.

If you are ready to get off the roller coaster ride of weight loss and gain - and tired of paying to lose the same pound over and over again- tired of beating up on yourself - then you have come to the right place.

I think most women who have battled with weight can identify with both Kirstie Alley and Oprah. Most of us understand all too well what it is like to battle with losing weight only to gain it all back. Like the majority of us neither of these women have spent nearly enough time dealing with the psychological aspects of weight loss. Without taking a serious look at what is happening on a mental and emotional level any weight loss success can only be fleeting because the root issues are not addressed.

My heart goes out to Kirsite and Oprah as dealing with something as sensitive and personal as your weight in the public eye must be very difficult. However, these women have a major opportunity to inspire others to embrace their beauty as INDIVIDUALs rather than continuing to strive for some holywoodized cookie cutter version of what women “should” look like.
This recent interview of Kirsite, and her weight loss goals to be ripped in six months, highlights the whole problem with weight loss industry. It is a clear example of the insane messages we are sending to women about what is beautiful, acceptable and even truly possible. I don’t doubt that she may lose a lot of weight in this next 6 months but how truly long lasting will it be? Will we see her right back where she started in another year? I’m willing to bet we will.
No offence to Kirsite as I am sure her heart is in the right place, (or I hope it is) but more DIET and lose weight FAST inspiration is the LAST thing any woman needs! We need more inspiration to work on the inside self, to find out where the true beauty resides and let that shine through to the outside. Women need to do to the harder work of searching inside themselves for their true secrets to weight loss success. So many of Kirsitie Alley’s comments point to a woman who really needs to deal with some issues of self-worth and acceptance. The humour she uses is great entertainment but how much of that is a cover for a person who really hates herself? People often use humour as a guise for true pain because it is easier. Then of course there is the competitive aspect. She says about Valerie Bertinelli’s reveal “I was dying there’s no comparison in my reveal to hers”. Why is this a competition? Why does the skinniest woman win? Healthy weight loss for one woman may not be right for another and healthy fit bodies come in many different shapes and sizes!
